On Process: Getting ready for the Initial Meeting

The project journey is long. We want to get to know you before we start.

Our first meeting, therefore, usually takes the form of an informal coffee and chat with one or two of our team.

Tell us a bit about your story.
What are your hobbies? What makes you tick?
Why are you looking to build or renovate?

We usually will then run through our Process and explain our Fees, and answer any questions that you may have.

In our Meet and Greet we generally will keep our discussions about brief to a high level. Don’t worry however, the first step of our design process is Detailed Briefing - a questionnaire, followed by a workshop, and summed up in a Return Brief report. We want to make sure we understand both the quantitative things (number of people/rooms/sizes) and the qualitative ones (feelings, things you love etc). We might even seem pedantic and over-the-top with our Briefing - but experience has taught us that the hard work early-on will pay off in allowing us to create an outcome that’s uniquely catered to you.

This means that if you have Pinterest boards, sketches, clippings or any other prepared items - feel free to share them, but you don’t need to feel pressured to have everything ready in time for this first meeting.

Some clients take up the offer of a second coffee chat in our office, which will allow us to run through past or current projects of similar scope and budget to provide a reference point and glimpse of what’s possible. It’s also a chance for you to meet more of our team, and see how we work in a studio setting.

Our posture is to not rush our clients through this Meet and Greet process. As eager as we are to help, we want you to be sure that Ever is the right fit for your needs. So take your time, ask many questions, engage with the team, and make sure you feel at home with us.

The journey is long - the process, the outcome of what we create, and the impact of the building all matter to us.

It really does start with us listening to you.
